Now, today’s episode is for those of you who don’t necessarily struggle with confidence.

It’s for the HR professionals who feel competent, determined, and clear on their value… but maybe also wonder:

If I don’t have imposter syndrome — does that mean I don’t need help growing?

I had a conversation with an HR leader earlier this week that you may be able to relate to.

She said, almost sheepishly:
“I know people talk about imposter syndrome a lot, but I’ve honestly never felt that. I’m confident in what I do.”

And you know what? I loved that answer.

Because we don’t talk enough about confident leaders who still want to grow.

Not from a place of insecurity – but from a place of ambition.

Imposter Syndrome Isn’t a Prerequisite for HR Growth

You probably hear a lot of coaching content that starts with:
“You don’t feel good enough…”
“You’re afraid of being found out…”
“You’re doubting yourself…”

And sure, that’s real for many.
But it’s not the only experience.

Some of you feel solid. You know your stuff. You’ve earned your seat.

But deep down, you also know: There’s another level of impact I haven’t reached yet.

That’s not imposter syndrome – that’s leadership hunger.

You don’t need to be “fixed.”
You just need to be stretched.

Are You Operating at Capacity or Playing It Safe?

Even confident leaders have blind spots.
Even strong performers can plateau – not because they aren’t capable, but because they’ve outgrown their current zone.

Here are a few questions I want you to reflect on:

This is where my HR Leadership Series, Lead with Confidence comes in – and why tomorrow’s session is so important.

Workshop 1 Starts Tomorrow: Are You Ready?

In Workshop 1: Why Smart HR Leaders Stall — and How to Break Through, we’ll talk about:

Because no matter how strong your foundation is – there’s always a higher version of you to grow into.

Not just more confident – but more visible, more influential, and more aligned with the executive table.

By the way, that’s why I named my business HR Higher Version!

Weekly Challenge: Identify Your Next-Level Skill

This week’s challenge is simple — but powerful:

Ask yourself: What part of your leadership has been just “good enough” for too long?

Maybe it’s:

Pick one area. Then ask:
“What would a next-level version of this look like?”

That’s where your growth lives.

Just because you’re not doubting yourself doesn’t mean you’ve reached the ceiling.

If you know there’s more in you – more impact, more clarity, more strategic leadership – then join me tomorrow for Workshop 1 of the HR Leadership Series.

It’s free. It’s powerful. And it’s built for HR professionals who are ready to lead boldly – not just survive their roles, but shape their organizations.

Again, you can find the link to register in the podcast show notes. Or you can simply go to my website at www.HRHigherVersion.com and download the free guide. You will be registered for the leadership series and also receive my free guide: 4 Ways HR Professionals Can Be More Strategic with Their Time and Move Toward an Executive Level Role as a thank you.

Remember, you don’t have to shrink to grow.
You just have to show up – fully, boldly, and ready for more.

I hope to see you tomorrow.
